too young for that.
i have all her albums, she is great. i even went to lilith
fair twice (celebration of women in music), both were
fantastic.
i need to check out angelique kidjo, never heard of her.
you may want to try tori amos and beth orton, both are
great solo female artist. and tracy chapman, and dido,
and jewel, and shawn colvin, and...there are too many
of them and i love them all!! | M****n

female singer list also includes:
Patti Smith
Suzzane Vega
Joni Michell
Bjok
Yoko Ono
All wrote songs themselves.
You may also like Mazzy Star, Mono, Nico(the velvet underground), Ricky Lee

发帖数: 399 | 4 Do check Astrud Gilberto. Bossa Nova. Her style could be regarded as the
opposite of Sarah. She was like a non-technique singer. No decoration, no
tremolo at all.
But her voice... Oh, it is fantastic.
