In the actual book it says that not being one of the free peoples the mind
of the eagle is too weak to bear the evil presence of the ring, that's why
no ring bearer ever ends up on an eagle, and why frodo and sam can only be
picked up by them once the ring is gone... LOTR geek knowledge right
