American Express Serve
You may have seen the recent announcement that the Softcard™ app is
being
discontinued. We wanted to let you know that this could affect the fees
assessed to your American Express Serve Account because your Account will no
longer work in Softcard. Once Softcard is discontinued, you will be charged
a $1 monthly fee. You can avoid this fee by:
• Setting up Direct Deposit so all or part of your paycheck is
added
directly to your Account each month. Enroll today.
• Adding $500 or more to your Account by linking your debit card
or U
.S. bank account. Link your Account. Or add cash for free at 27,500
locations. Learn more.
We recognize that this change may be an inconvenience to you, so we are
issuing a $2 credit to your Account to cover any potential Monthly Fees for
two months. You will see this reflected on your Account by April 15, 2015.
We assure you there are no other changes to your American Express Serve
Account.
• You can still use your plastic Serve Card in-store or online at
the
millions of merchants that accept American Express® Cards worldwide.
• Your balance will not be affected and you can continue to manage
your Account on your phone with our American Express Serve® Mobile App1

including adding money, paying bills, viewing transactions and more.

• You can continue to enjoy all the features and benefits of your
Full Service Prepaid Account, such as free Direct Deposit, free cash
