d*w 发帖数: 384 | 7 once american express ran a promotion on their amexnetwork.com website. they
were selling some stuff for about 25% cheaper than other stores. so I
ordered a GPS and something else for a total of $300. they stated once the
package shipped, a tracking # would be sent to me and signature was required
for delivery.
my card was directly charged by amex, not by their partner for merchandise
fulfillment.
so after a long time, i didn't receive anything. i called american express
many times, they said it's their partner's responsibility and they didn't
have the information whether the package was shipped.
after more wait, american express claimed it was delivered by UPS a long
time ago and also claimed the GPS was worth $700. they gave me a tracking #
and told me to call UPS. UPS also claimed the GPS was worth $700 and the
package $1,000.
here is the thing: UPS policy says for any packages worth $500 or more, UPS
requires a signature.
so I asked where was the package delivered? who signed for it? UPS said
delivered in front of your door, no signature, because we thought you wanted
it delivered fast.
so i called amex many time, from regular representatives to call center
managers. every one said it's delivered, they were not responsible at all.
I happened to meet a reporter. he said it's ridiculous. he called all the
representatives and managers at amex, no resolution. he finally called amex
executive office, then amex refunded my money.

while amex claimed it's their partner's responsibility, they didn't want to
tell me who their partner was.

will have to contact the executive office.
I have been a Gold card member since 2006. The Gold card service is still
good, but they just don't care about my low-fee credit cards. |
