核实SSN是为了确认你是某个人，而不是金融犯罪团伙收集来洗钱的“数字”。
美国政府有相关反洗钱和防止恐怖分子金融活动的法例，银行和金融机构都必须遵守。
像你在网上买银行的PREPAID CARD，都必须要给SSN。

其实你申请AMEX credit card的时候他们就知道你的ssn了，serv是AMEX，你给和不给
他们都知道你的ssn,让你给是证明是你本人而已。
真不知道你纠结啥。 | h******t
