However, if you call the hotel directly, they are probably willing to accept
it if it's only a few days after its expiration date. YMMV. |

The hotel will pull your e-cert or voucher when you check in, but in your
case it won't be available at that time.
You can call Marriott CS to extend the expiration date. They usually are
very nice to offer. |

Certificate from your Marriott Premier Credit Card? Yes, MR CS will likely
extend it.
Certificate from MegaBonus promotion? No, unlikely they are willing to
extend it.
I tried MR CS first but was rejected firmly, then call the hotel, and they
were happy to take it.

If hotel checks buyer ID at checkin, he is screwed.
if buyer find a way to put charges to the credit card in the sellers MR
account, seller is screwed.

doing it without.
I wasn't trying to stop people from doing it, but just wanted to make sure OP
and other readers know about the risks. Otherwise, some people may assume it
's OK and safe to sell or buy the certificates.
