American said this morning that it will be cutting all but 36 flights to
nine destinations from St. Louis.

remaining St. Louis flight schedule next year as part of a dramatic
restructuring.

doesn't look very good for St. Louis if there is a need to reduce 46 flights
. This matches the Federal Reserve beige report that St. Louis' economy is
still declining. A very busy and high-traffic airport indicates a growing
economic activity.

raise liquidity (raise debt) and survive. St. Louis is unfortunately
caught into this downturn.
As to business travel, while the general trend is down (with recession),
obviously things like Anheuser Busch bought by InBev did not help.
