Minnesota Chinese IT Association (MN-CITA) will host a seminar, Job Market
in Today's IT Industry, on Saturday, June 18. The IT industry in Twin Cities
and nationwide is seeing hiring thaw in some companies and mass layoff in
others. This seminar aims to provide you with real sense of market and help
you to recognize where the opportunities and pitfalls are. Topics include:
Who is hiring in Twin Cities? What and where are the IT jobs?
What are the hottest IT skill sets that are in demand?
Success stories: Corporate career, self employed, consultant, etc.
IT job interviews: do's and don'ts.
Current norm of IT salary and negotiation skills.
Job market trends in the next 12-18 months.
Networking with other Chinese IT professionals in the area.
