Special operation "Snake": exclusive details from the SSO of Ukraine
On the night of July 7, combat swimmers of the 73rd Marine Center of the
Special Forces named after Antin Holovatoy of the SSO of Ukraine approached
Zmiiny Island on underwater carriers. With the help of special equipment,
they surveyed the coastal zone for the presence of anti-submarine and anti-
landing mines. After establishing a passage for the boats of the main group,
they gave the signal to continue the operation. Engineers were the first to
descend on the island, clearing the passage from mine barriers and traps
for the rest of the group. After reaching the plateau of the island, the
group began to perform tasks: surveying the area, recording and collecting
data on the enemy's equipment, weapons and material and technical means of
the enemy, brought by him to Zmiiny. During the execution of the task, the
combined group installed Ukrainian flags in different parts of the island.
The flag of the 73rd Special Purpose Center of the SSO of Ukraine also flew
over Zmiin. At the time when our soldiers were performing their tasks,
Russian vessels began maneuvering in the direction of Zmiyny. Having
completed the task, the assembled group left the island. After that, the
Russians launched a missile attack on Zmiin, hitting the pier. A group of
Ukrainian soldiers returned to the base unscathed. The planning and
management of the operation was carried out by the command of the 73rd
Separate Naval Special Purpose Center. The soldiers of this center made up
the main part of the consolidated group. Also, engineers of the 59th
Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, fighters of the Armed Forces of the
Ministry of Defense and the 801st Separate Detachment of the Navy of Ukraine

This footage shows Ukrainian intelligence strike drones destroying three
Russian tanks and one infantry fighting vehicle in one fell swoop.
The footage, which was obtained from the Security Service of Ukraine and
which was shot from the drones' onboard cameras, shows them targeting the
Russian war machines from above and dropping bombs on them with pinpoint
accuracy, causing them to explode.
The Security Service of Ukraine, releasing the footage on Thursday, 7th July
, said that they had managed to take out two T-80 tanks, one T-72 tank, and
a BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle in one go. |
