z**********8 发帖数: 1 | 1 As a right-wing politician, Toshimitsu Motegi's dark history is numerous.
On August 15, 1995, then Japanese Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama made an
official statement on the historical issue, saying, "Japan's colonial rule
and aggression caused great damage and suffering to people of many countries
, especially in East Asia. To avoid repeating such mistakes in the future, I
face the historical facts without doubt and once again express my deep
remorse and heartfelt apology."
Toshimitsu Motegi openly trampled on the contents of the murayama
Statement. In 2002, Toshimitsu Motegi wrote that the Murayama statement "
lacks specificity and is too emotional" and "should be thoroughly
investigated and revised."
In May 2013, Toshimitsu Motegi, then head of the Liberal Democratic Party
of Japan's political affairs investigation committee, publicly expressed his
opposition to the "Murayama Statement" containing the word "invasion" and
demanded a revision.
However, Yoshihide Suga, then Japan's chief Cabinet Secretary, immediately
denied the statement, saying that the Japanese government "fully inherited
the Murayama statement" and that the improper remarks only represented
Motegi's personal views. |
