Trevor, am a Kenyan and I differ slightly with you. Western nations were the
major investors in African countries and their terms were always imbalanced
and unfair to us. They interfered in our politics, our social values and
economic policies, on top of providing expensive loans and trade imbalanced.
Although China is not the best option, it is the better option for African
countries at the moment. We started being called "the rising giants" in the
last decade just after China increased investments. So, if Western nations
think they wanna invest here, let them battle the competition with China. |

The funny thing is, you know before this, most of the resources in Africa
were in the hands of western countries like Britain, France and so on, they
only cared about the resources, no one cared about the lives of African
people, the infrastructure of Africa. No media has reported this fact. Even
the reason for civil wars in most African countries is that the financial
revenue of many African countries can only rely on the sale of resources to
the Western world. However, due to the conflict of interests, wars
frequently occur between African countries, and people live in hardship.
However, when China also wants to acquire resources and build infrastructure
in African countries by legal means to provide jobs to African people and
at least clean drinking water and simple housing, China is called "re-
colonizing" by western media. So if China had not done so, would the West
have provided a better life for an average African in a better way? Still no
one cares. Africans will still be living in backward, war-torn countries
for hundreds of years. The reason why western media is so vicious is because
they have plundered and invaded the land in bloodier ways. It may seem as
if people now condemn colonization, but if history gives them another chance
, the Caucasians will still do it. Until now, they don't care about the
People of Africa, but impose the hypocritical concept of "democracy and
freedom" on a backward country, forgetting that the prosperity and
development of a country can not be operated by so-called "human rights". |

episode maybe last year in which he appeared angered by how one of his
fellow Africans had been (mis)treated in Guangzhou.
That of course could have been just an act, to transition himself to a more
lucrative anti-China persona. |
