Seeing the low level of attendance, the Jade Emperor has a lot of questions.
Jade Emperor: I haven't seen the Thousand-Armed Bodhisattva in a while, does
anyone have news on him?
A: He still hasn't finished washing his hands...
Jade Emperor: How about the Four-Faced Buddha?
A: He ran out of masks...
JE: Where's Erlang?
A: He's looking for protective goggles for his third eye...
JE, annoyed: Fine. Who else is missing?
A: Lord Guanyu's red face looks like a fever symptom so he's under self-
quarantine... The Tang monk went west to obtain the sutras and then couldn't
immigrate back...
JE: Why are He Xiangu and the rest all missing, too?
A: The Eight Celestials got arrested for having a gathering of more than
four people
JE: And even that kid Nezha?
A: While using high-ethanol hand sanitiser, he caught fire from the flaming
wheels on his feet
The Jade Emperor has no choice but to call a 14-day hiatus on meetings until
the situation improves.
Finally, he asks: How's the King of Hell doing, by the way?
