The NYPD is feeling the impact of the coronavirus, with numerous employees
either showing symptoms or calling out sick.
The department says more than 2,400 NYPD employees called out sick Monday.
That number accounts for 6.6 percent of the uniformed workforce, and is more
than double the typical daily average.
One hundred officers have also tested positive for the coronavirus, along
with 29 other staff members.
