國營伊朗通訊社（IRNA）稍早前報導，賈漢普爾說：「過去兩天，科姆地區出現一些新
型冠狀病毒疑似病例。」
賈漢普爾又說：「接獲通報後，當局派出團隊。而根據既有程序，疑似病例已被隔離並
接受檢驗。」
賈漢普爾表示，先前在送來的檢體樣本中，實驗室檢驗初步檢測出兩起陽性，另有一些
樣本檢測出B型流感病毒。
賈漢普爾還說，會再針對這兩起陽性案例的樣本進行後續檢測，且當局會「盡快」宣布
最終檢測結果。

Two Iranians have died in hospital after testing positive for the new
coronavirus in the holy Shi’ite city of Qom, the head of the city’s
University of Medical Sciences told Mehr news agency on Wednesday. “Two
Iranians, who tested positive earlier today for new coronavirus, died of
respiratory illness,” the official told Mehr. Iran’s health ministry
spokesman Kianush Jahanpur confirmed their death on Twitter. Iran confirmed
earlier in the day its first two cases of the virus, government spokesman
Ali Rabiei said, shortly after reports that preliminary tests on the two had
come back positive.The health ministry said earlier that the patients had
