I usually enjoyed talking to and being friends with Chinese and Koreans who
went to HS and college and who maintained their own culture and spoke little
-moderate English (most in college were just foreign students who would
return to China). They were real and interesting and fun to talk to. Western
culture is bad enough for white people. It is corrupting. In my experience
Asians who spoke perfect English and adopted “western” culture seemed
unpleasant, arrogant and slimy.

I prefer it when Asians choose to keep their real name for me it comes
across as "phony" and superficial and like they're trying "too hard" to fit
it. I'm willing to make the effort to learn to pronounce their authentic
name and I think most people are.

Giving a Chinese-American kid a generic Anglo name like James, John or
Michael is in itself, kind of a stereotype. Might as well make him wear
glasses and give him violin lessons as well. |

的老外备受欢迎。汉语说的越好，好感越强。但是到了一个临界点，好感一下跌到谷底
变成敌意。 |

我遇到的白人大部分圣母心泛滥，遇到能开口说话的，都会夸奖 excellent. 哈哈 |

发帖数: 1793 | 10 又穷酸又刻薄的白人很多，我和朋友圈的老中去白人开的爬梯一般送不错的酒和礼物，
开的车都逼白人高出两个档次，白人送的都是烂酒，pie/pizza, 穷酸的要死。
有一个白人的朋友我们不太认识，看到我们送那个白人那么好的礼物，也来请我们参加
爬梯，你说穷酸不穷酸，我们都看不起他们，根本不想融入。笑死人，我们就玩我们自
己的。

三拣四、大放厥词、指手画脚.....，把他家那套弄你家，你干吗？直接就告诉他滚回
去。
人有人的生活方式，你有你的生活方式，看着不顺眼是彼此，不是你自己鄙视他人，他
人也同样鄙视你。如何处好才是关键，那么牛B，到这来干什么，回去就得了，一辈子
也就大几十年，自己毛病不少看不见，就从对方身上找，那是自以为是。 |

little sympathy and should try harder to be more understanding and accepting
(of foreigners especially those of us who are east-Asian descent). However
they do come across with some valid points.

- So, basically he likes to mingle with people from east Asia, but he doesn'
t like us to settle down and have a flourish life here. He doesn't think he
is a racist, but that doesn't mean he is not.

- I kinda agree with this, when some grown up Chinese want me call them "
Peter" or "Cathy", it does come across as insincere.

- This is utterly uncalled for. Naming kids Anglo names has everything to do
with the adopted culture and custom. Although I named my son Chinese, I
still believe it's unfair to judge like that when it comes to kids.
