than any other in the nation), our ranking would be near the bottom.
What's funny about it is that Asian school performance flies in the face of
the excuses made for poor performance by African American and Hispanic
students.
As Asians, we are largely made of immigrants or children of immigrants. We
have language and cultural issues that we must overcome. We are visual
minorities. Yet we value education and have a strong family structure.
I would argue that if you removed African American and Hispanic students
from proficiency tests, America would be at or near the top in the world. It
has to do with culture, family structure and, well, the value placed upon

The national education system, run by people who couldn't do anything other
than pick lint from their assholes, is running on empty?
Well, fuck all. I finished high school in 1971. It sucked then, and has only
gotten worse. Amazingly, at age 64, I can still construct vaguely coherent
sentences and add numbers. Unfortunately, due to War Street and the
government, 2-2=1 and 2+2=5, so, I'd say...
... we're fucked.
(note of order: closed my facebook account just 15 minutes ago. Long overdue
