Michelle Obama told thousands of high school students Wednesday that, as the
"forever first lady," she and the country are counting on them to be
successful.
“We need you all to be successful,” Obama said during her keynote address
at a College Signing Day event at Temple University, according to Philly
Voice.
Obama told the crowd that she was once afraid to leave her home in Chicago
to attend Princeton University, but that being afraid of the next steps is
normal.
“We have such high hopes for you. See, I am not one of those doubters. I
know that you have everything it takes to succeed,” Obama reportedly said.
“I know you are me, and if I can be standing here as your forever first
lady, then you can do anything you put your mind to.”
