, Planet Earth is back.
While the first was more of a look down on all the wonderful wildlife on our
planet, this second one aims to take an animals’-eye-view of the natural
world. New technology has helped capture some fascinating footage, with
each instalment focused on particular habitats: jungles, deserts, mountains,
islands, grasslands and,
perhaps most interestingly of all, cities – which are now seen by the BBC’
s Natural History Unit as a wildlife habitat all of their own. A spectacular
sequence featuring peregrine falcons flying around the skyscrapers of New
York that has been likened to a something from a superhero movie. Airs 6
