founders of cybernetics. But Glushkov had partly been inspired by the work
of an earlier network enthusiast, Anatoly Kitov.
Kitov had first dreamed of wiring up the USSR back in 1959. A Russian
documentary about Kitov called the “Internet colonel” is available online,
