next five months is to "make sure that Donald Trump is defeated and defeated
badly."
"I personally intend to begin my role in that process in a very short period
of time," he said in an address to his supporters via livestream (full
remarks as prepared for delivery here).
Sanders also said he looks forward to working with Hillary Clinton, his
opponent who is now the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee, "to
transform the Democratic Party" to better include issues important to
working people and young people.
The remarks come two days after the last Democratic primary of the season
was held in Washington D.C. Clinton won the district, adding to her already
significant delegate and popular vote advantage.
