marijuana plants growing inside a Suisun City home, police said.
Officers raided the home on the 600 block of Golden Eye Way on Friday,
confiscating plants in various stages of growing, harvesting and drying,
according to Fairfield police. The marijuana had a potential street value
worth as much as $2.5 million, police said.
Two men inside the home — Qing Yang Zheng, 27, of Suisun City, and Zhen
Sheng Xu, 31, a Virginia resident — were arrested and booked in the Solano
County Jail on charges related to marijuana sales and cultivation, police
said.
Investigators said they believe the operation was related to organized gang
activity in the Bay Area. Police obtained a search warrant on the home after
receiving the tip from neighbors, |
