Got a phone call this morning from so called Microsoft Windows technical
dept saying my computer has hacked blah blah. Then I followed his
instruction to allow him to access my computer remotely...then, said I need
to renew my license for 100 dollar, I refused. Then after I restart my
computer, a pop up says I need a password to start. I tried every password
but failed. Then I called the number that guy left 404-567-4829, that guy
said I need to send 100 dollar to Bittu Sharma in India to get the password.
Is it a scam? Help please! |

can only pay that ransom guy to save my computer and documents as these
value more than 100 dollar. Lesson is even though I knew during the phone
call it might be a scam, I though as long as I don't give out any personal
or credit info I would be safe. That is why I did not hang up the phone call
. Still I am trapped! |

just got a phone call saying my computer is hacked and I need to renew my
license, etc. since my computer does shutdown by itself sometimes, then l
just followed that guys instructions...and got trapped.

if I do. Give them a money transfer number then they will send me a code or
password to start my computer.

you restore your computer to a previous restore point?
Buy a new computer and leave this one alone. Later you might find a way to
get your files. Don't pay scammers anything.
I personally know a few Nigerian scam victims and I feel pity for them. |

your computer and you can unscrew them to take the hard drive out. Google or
YouTube have many instructions.

绝安装这个软件，他们就让我试另一个，另一个不行，就试第三个，折腾来折腾去我说
他们的方法都不灵，最后他们没办法，放弃了。哈哈哈。

backup the very important documents to me to a external hard drive and they
can be opened in another computer. Then I will try to do a quick restore and
will update. Thanks to all theses trying to help me. Appreciate very much.

most important documents already, it's a big release. Now I am trying to
restore my locked computer, it's in progress. Will update Here later. Even
it does not go well, I don't care it much any more. Anyway, learned a lesson
today. Hope it alerts other guys here about this kind of scam as well. I
guess I have a few baoze, will send out once I figure it out how. By the way
, I need to go now, not to send money to the scammer, but for my daughter's
SEP conference!

如果硬盘上有重要文件，请买一个External Hard disk enclosure (2.5 inch)

将硬盘小螺丝卸下，取出硬盘，考出数据。
然后重装系统。 |
