Most noble prize winners' work does not require high level intelligence.
Fields medal does, but chinese lag behind because of limited exposure to the
research due to the environment. Many geniuses in china just are not on the
right track. If Chinese can take math research as serious as go game, the
result will be very different. Knowing what is going on and being guided by
a great mentor is very important in terms of doing research, be it physics
chemistry biology or math. China has not reached this stage yet due to
history and economy factors, and it does not mean that Chinese are inferior.
