A Secret Service officer assigned to the White House was fatally shot in the
Southwest section of Washington, D.C., on Tuesday afternoon.
The 30-year-old officer, Arthur Baldwin, was on administrative leave at the
time of the shooting, Authorities say they believe he was the victim of an
attempted robbery and wasn't armed at the time of the incident, NBC
Washington reported. Baldwin suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was
pronounced dead at 3:23 p.m
