b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 2 The only crime that Dr. Xi committed is being Chinese. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 3 Obviously the US government and FBI are biased against Chinese Americans. It
's almost racist. The department is damaging Chinese American credibility
again and again. Chinese American community should sue the department of
justice. We cannot stand still and let this keep happening to us who are
peaceful, work hard and contribute a lot to this country. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 4 Something is wrong with a country if the department of justice does
injustice to its citizens. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 5 Chinese American studied and worked hard for this country but what we got is
biased, discrimination and insult from the government again and again. May
be this a sign to tell us that we should move to other countries or move
back to China where we can get some respect we deserve. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 6 From the perspective of an outsider, and one who has the United States
constantly preach justice and human rights in a superior, pompous and
sanctimonious manner to the "savages of the world", it was a pleasure
reading about this show of hypocrisy and double standards. Goes to show that
America preaches hard, but often never practices. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 7 Emails to China, must be guilty!
These same idiots (and worse, computer geeks) are reading and listening to
our digital communications. Also explains why the government computers keep
getting hacked. Apparently the talent pool is outside of government. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 8 That's what all the China-bashing does to the country. People become
paranoid and all Chinese Americans become suspects. This is the same kind of
mentality that led to the Japanese internment camps. I hope we never get
there. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 9 And this is the government agency that is demanding that US Technology firms
put backdoors into security software and our personal mobile phones. With
this kind of incompetency, they want us to trust *them*? |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 10 Isn't it racism? The government charged him only because his racial
background.
True spy is pretty hard to catch these days, those idiots thought they can
catch an easy one. Tens of millions law suit coming for wrongful prosecution

b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 11 A very sad 2015 reaffirmation of the notion that Chinese-Americans are not
real Americans. We whistle diversity but throw them under the bus at the
first whiff of uncertainty.
Please google a Qian Xueshen. We literally handed the atomic bomb over to
Communist China because of our racist Xenophobia.
The FBI must be under enormous pressure from the White House to produce hard
evidence of a specific case of Chinese espionage, this is the second
botched case in the same year. Something is needed to evidence the rising
political anti-China rhetoric. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 12 The ban on Qian's leaving was lifted on 4 August 1955[6] and Qian resigned
from Caltech shortly thereafter. Qian departed from Los Angeles aboard the
Grover Cleveland in September 1955 amidst rumors that this was a swap for 11
U.S. airmen held captive by China since the end of the Korean War.[25]
Under Secretary Kimball, who had tried to keep Qian in the U.S., commented
on the affair to say:
"It was the stupidest thing this country ever did. He was no more a
Communist than I was, and we forced him to go."[3] |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 13 Qian eventually received his award from Caltech, and with the help of his
friend Frank Marble brought it to his home in a widely covered ceremony.
Qian was also invited to visit the US by AIAA after the normalization of
Sino-US relationship, but he refused the invitation, having wanted a formal
apology for his detention. In a 2002 published reminiscence, Marble stated
that he believed that Qian had “lost faith in the American government” but
that he had “always had very warm feelings for the American people.”[30] |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 14 This is inexcusable, and heads should roll. (I am speaking figuratively, in
case people are unfamiliar with that expression. It means that people should
be fired, at a minimum.) I write this as someone who believes in government
, and served 30+ years in government myself. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 15 The scientific angle of this persecution is nothing compared to the
political inspirations of the feds. Many cases are political intended to
instill fear in many others. |
b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 16 Don't forget the bigger picture: we want to China to be our enemy No. 1,
just like the old Soviet Union, otherwise how can we justify the spending
on NSA and Pentagon? Throw a few Chinese (never mind they are Americans, but
they are the docile type) under the bus, that's just a small price to pay
in our war of maintaining our world order and placing the entire globe under
our surveillance. |

b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 31 There are too many false accusations against Chinese American for espionage
to think that they are coincident other than racially motivated malicious
prosecution. Salient examples are – Wen Ho Lee (1999, Los Alamos Lab), Bo
Jiang (2013, MASA), Hua Jun Zhao (2013, Medical College of Wisconsin),
Guoqing Cao and Shuyu li (2013, Eli Lilly) and Sherry Chen (2014, US weather
Service). In all these cases government were unable to prove espionage and
the cases were dropped by the judge or prosecutor due to insufficient
evidence. Lack of due diligent discovery by prosecutors are largely
responsible for all these expensive accusations and none of the prosecutors
has ever loss their job for their incompetency.
Moreover, one this witch hunt resulted in the defection of one the pioneer
in rock and space during World War II (Tsien Hsue-shen) to China and his
defection aided and jump started the development of intercontinental missile
program in China. |

The Justice Department sees a pernicious threat of economic espionage from
China, and experts say the government in Beijing has an official policy
encouraging the theft of trade secrets. Prosecutors have charged Chinese
workers in the United States with stealing Boeing aircraft information,
specialty seeds and even the pigment used to whiten Oreo cookie cream.
Other researchers and academics are being closely watched. The F.B.I. is
investigating a Chinese-American mapping expert who abruptly resigned from

Columbus Dispatch reported this week. In May, the Justice Department
charged a Chinese professor and others with stealing acoustics equipment
from American companies. |
