Occupiers' unspoken real reason for their action:
1. We don't like mainlanders, and we don't want to be Chinese! well, it does
not sound good and may run the risk of being considered racists and the
westerners don't like this. So we don't say it.
2. We don't like being part of China; we want to be part of the UK like in
the good old days! If Ireland does not want to be part of the glory UK, we
do! Well, it seems a bit embarrassing to admit this, given that the UK
government abandoned us in the first place and also we are so far away from
our dear old lord. And also, this reason is indeed illegal.
Therefore, this whole movements are based on these reasons of inhumanity.
However, without speaking out these own reasons loud, the umbrella movement
is doomed to fail.
Not surprisingly, a recent survey showed that Hong Kong is the racist place
in the world. So how comes many Hong Kong people think they are more
civilized, educated, or even superior to others? It has been a puzzle to me. |
