The racially offensive contents aired in Jimmy Kimmel Live show on October
16, 2013 have shocked me, the Chinese community and many others.
In the show, when a young kid said killing everyone in China to help erase
the U.S. debt, Jimmy Kimmel responded with “That’s an interesting idea”
and a smile. This response was a serious mistake! If Jimmy Kimmel was a
qualified live show host, he could have coached the kid to an appropriate
direction. But he was not.
A few moments later, Jimmy Kimmel went even further in the already wrong
path by following up a question “Should we allow the Chinese to live?” The
expression didn’t show any respect to Chinese people who deserve respect
equally.
What Jimmy Kimmel did has disqualified himself for being a professional talk
show host. He humiliated ABC’s audience by promoting genocide. He damaged
the brand of ABC by associating it with racially offensive contents.
I urge you to fire Jimmy Kimmel immediately because he is not qualified!
Until this goal is achieved, I will NOT watch any program on ABC, I will NOT
spend one more penny on anything relevant to Disney brand, and I will tell
all my friends to do so!
