直接转老妈那里是比较悬，不过其他手段很多。如果有高手真的想帮忙的话，有戏。至

the filing of bankruptcy are voidable. the rationale is similar.

the transfer has to be before the event that count result in civil liability
. Anything after that, it could be determined that you were trying to hide
assets.

his creditor might be valid, because the creditor has priority, but the
plaintiff can still sue the creditor and him.
That is why rich people have asset protecting trusts. If you put your asset
into such a trust, giving the trustee a discretionary power in distribution
, nobody, including the court, can force the trustee to exercise his/her
discretionary power. But this also means that you lose a lot of control
over the asset. Lien is very young, he needs to have full control over his
wealth for many purposes such as investing and spending. So such a trust
might not be good for him. Anyway, it is too late now.
if he has over 5.25M, transfer as a gift may incur gift tax for the
excessive amount.
Law in US is drafted in very fine detail. People have many creative ideas
that might be illegal.
BTW, I don't think Lien will lose this case in a civil court. But he will
have to pay lots of attorney's fees.
