可是，作为受害方的华人群体里面， 深刻反省的声音不绝于耳。

The driver of the SUV, Alexian Lien, 33, was taken to a hospital where he
needed stitches for his face. His wife and 2-year-old were not injured. He
has not been charged. But Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said they were
still investigating the incident.
"Well, it depends on what the circumstances are," Kelly said. "It depends on
whether or not your vehicle is being attacked, whether or not you think you
're being attacked, whether or not your wife and child's in the car. You
have to look at the totality of the circumstances, and that's what we're
doing."
let me tell you what, when that pack of bikers attacked the suv, that guy
had every right to do whatever it took to defend himslef and his family and
to try and escape the attack. If that meant running over some of the other
animals in that pack so be it. When they began trying to break out the
window, it became a life threatening situation and the driver should have
done what ever it took. I know what I would have done. No question. You have
to defend yourself and your family. Whatever started the incident doesn't
matter, the bikers could have called police if it was warranted, but they
chose to act like animals. When they attacked, they got what they deserved.
Well, not really, they deserved way more.
Watching this video you can plainly see them chasing,swarming,and
surrounding the SUV. Which forced him to have to stop in the first place.
They then start moving torward his vehicle on foot. The driver obviously
panicked because he had to protect his family. There were at least 40 of
them to the 3 of them. The sad thing is this should have never happened. If
both sides could show equal respect torwards one another this all could have
been avoided.
If a gang of bikers were to surround me with wife and kid in the car, I
would have done exactly the same. I would not have stopped until I get to
the police station so they cannot physically attack me. If the bike cuts in
front and suddenly stopped to make me hit you, then they have no right to be
angry to attack my car or me as a mob. This is kind of thing we see in the
movies, not suppose to happen in real life. BUT this seems to be the case.
Get these bike gangs out of the roads. |
