Ten people were killed and at least 39 others were wounded in shootings
across the city this weekend.
Most of the victims, male and female, ranged in age from their mid-teens to
30s, with the notable exception of a 6-year-old girl who was shot dead as
she played on the front porch of her home in the Little Village neighborhood.
Neighbors said Aliyah Shell was playing on the porch of her home in the 3100
block of South Springfield Avenue about 3:40 p.m. Saturday while her
parents sat on the front steps. A small gray pickup truck stopped in the
street and one person inside got out and fired four shots -- two of them
hitting the little girl.
Aliyah was struck twice and initially was taken in critical condition to
Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. She was declared dead at 5:24 p.m., the
Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
Detectives recovered a gun and were questioning two men who have been
charged shooting.
Besides the death of the 6-year-old girl, this weekend’s fatal shootings
include:
Joel Sanroman, 42, shot in the head early Saturday as he drove in the 3100
block of West 53rd Street in the Gage Park neighborhood.
Adrian Cruz, 24, shot multiple times around 7 p.m. Saturday while standing
in the 5900 block of South Fairfield Avenue in Chicago Lawn.
Vincent Fitts, 22, found shot in the head at 7:50 p.m. Saturday near 79th
and Cottage Grove Avenue.
Jeremy Anthony, 24, who police believe drove himself to the University of
Chicago Medical Center after being shot in the back while sitting in his car
in the 6300 block of South Ellis Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood.
Bert Lindsey, 36, killed early Sunday from shots fired from a passing
vehicle into a backyard party in the 7500 block of South Wolcott Avenue in
Auburn-Gresham.
Equilla Coleman, 24, and two others were found shot early Sunday in the 1400
block of West 53rd after police nearby heard gunfire and found them with
gunshot wounds.
Anthony Scott, 19, died Sunday -- two days after he was shot in the 6300
block of North Oakley Avenue by a man who called him over to his vehicle.
George Marrero, 27, was killed at 10:50 p.m. Sunday during a gang-related
drive-by shooting in the 1300 block of North Harding Avenue.
An unidentified 34-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest about 1
:35 a.m. Monday. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he later died.
Non-fatal shootings ranged across the city from Jefferson Park to West
Pullman. Among them were a 1-year-old girl and her mother, both grazed by
bullets Sunday afternoon in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.
Most recently, a man was shot in both legs about 1:45 a.m. while sitting in
Ogden Park in the South Side Englewood neighborhood, police said. He was
taken in serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
At least 33 others were wounded in shootings since Friday evening. |

针对成年人，伤亡者有不满1岁，6岁及十几岁的小孩

从50街到100街这一带，不算CHICAGO大学，估计99%的买卖提CHICAGO版友都没去过。
那里不要说晚上了，白天从那过都不敢停车的。

post confirmed it. It includes south and west part of the city.
The " good districts" are north side near the lake, Lake county and DuPage
