S.Korea,China to accommodate Japan with oil
China and South Korea say they will send gasoline and other petroleum
products to earthquake-hit Japan, where a fuel shortage is hindering relief
activities.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said on Thursday that China
will ship 11,760 kiloliters of regular gasoline and the same amount of
diesel oil as grant aid to Japan in response to a request.
Major South Korean firm S-OIL decided on Thursday to provide 110,000
kiloliters of oil products to Japan, in addition to its normal deliveries.
Two other South Korean oil companies will supply a total of 90,000
kiloliters by early April. South Korean's oil industry says it will consider
additional supplies if requested. | G***G
