I was honored to be able to live in Japan and work among the Japanese for 12
years. I
know them well. The Japanese are the finest people on the face of the earth.
I grieve
over the tragedy they now suffer and hope relief will be swift. Please help
by giving
a donation to one of the organizations helping out there. And keep these
brave people
contstantly in your thoughts

We have a lot to learn from the Japanese. A very well disciplined culture
indeed. I'm quite inspired. If this was the USA, people would probably cause
more damage than the natural disaster did.

Japanese learn from a young age they are part of a society - not individuals
. At school they take turns serving lunch to their classmates, as a trivial
example. Even as individuals they are in a large group of individuals, all
together, alike. The US equivalent is "I got mine, what is your problem?"
The result during crises is between Northern Japan and New Orlean |

发帖数: 237 | 4 Having lived there for 8 years I am not surprised. The Japanese are civil
people who treat others with respect. Perhpase it is a national response to
the attrocities of WWII that they developed into a nation of cordial, honest
, fair people. And, they will collect what insurance they may have, many do
not have any, will dig into thier bank accounts, and rebuild without a hand
extended for thier government to fill with yen. Living on the Gulf coast I
recently heard several fishermen talking about how they got thousands from
Feinburg when they only were making a few hundred. They boasted about
defrauding their fellow taxpayers out of money they were not due. We are
fast becoming a country of "get mine anyway I can", not all but many feel
this way, mostly in pursuit of material posessions. The Japanesse Shinto
religion teaches respect, humility, and civility. You know like Christianity
used to. |

我一个欧洲朋友在澳大利亚旅游的时候说上车碰到一团日本奶奶团，结果日本人争先恐
后，被日本人用胳膊肘捣。。
日本人真是个谜团。。 |
