to health insurance. most dental plans have an annual cap of a few thousand
dollars. in employer-sponsored programs, the cap is usually not much higher
than the actual combined contribution from the employer and the employee.
so you can see, if you negotiate well with the dentist, you may not pay more
without a plan than buying a plan yourself.
