same question as Calvin!!! Waiting for suggestion!
My mother was confirmed to be stomach cancer yesterday. She does not know
the result yet and let me don't worry in USA. I couldn't accept the result
in my heart.
Should she stay in a general hospital to do chem-therapy or transfer to
cancer institute? Just worry about the mood after she knows the result.
Any suggestion from experts and friends with experience? thanks you so much
ahead!!!!

发帖数: 4445 | 8 The only chance of "curing" is through surgery, preferably with chemo before
or after if possible. The decision is made by guessing what's the chance
of curing vs.the risk & suffering during/after surgery. For stages 0-2,
surgery should be considered, but for stage 4 it's unlikely to work.
If deciding to operate, the balance is between removing as much cancer cells
and leave enough healthy stomach to function...
