点。妈妈入湖北省肿瘤医院后一直在进行化疗的治疗，但收效甚微，一线的化疗过程对
她未有明显疗效，身体状况每况愈下。今年9月她转入二线治疗过程，加之她本有高血
压，又有贫血，使得二线治疗一度中断，不能用药。11月，在进行对腿骨的局部放疗时
，她的左脸的咀嚼肌和颞肌等包裹下颌骨的肌肉也发现有肿瘤，经过核磁共振扫描，左
眼颅底也有异常信号，所有专家都说我妈病情复杂，无法判断是否是由肺癌转移到脸部
的，加之我妈身体虚弱，无法进行将头颅打开取相关组织进行活检的手术。妈妈这星期
头突然肿得很大，几乎已难辨认她的模样，医生进行会诊也无好的方法，因为由肺癌转
到肌肉的病例在国内很少见，医生也不确定脸部肌肉的癌变是转移还是二源癌症，因为
我妈的身体状况无法做手术。
自妈妈得病以来，我爸的精神几乎崩溃，奶奶终日以泪洗面，我无法用言语来形容我
的悲痛，全家悲痛不已，可是束手无策。
我想咨询一下相关的专家，看我妈这样的情况是否能有什么好的治疗方案，我现在唯
一的愿望只想尽量延长她的生命，减少她的痛苦，不管用什么方法只要能对她 |

be done to "尽量延长她的生命". You can do something to "减少她的痛苦".
You may ask a question why you want to "尽量延长她的生命". Is this just to
let her live in extreme pain for longer time? If it is the time for a loved
family member to go, let go in peace and dignity.
I recommend a book "The Last Goodnights" by John West who talked about the
death of his parents. I do not agree with his actions. However I do agree
with his thoughts o |

Water is very important.
You may check National Cancer Sociaty for more information of lung cancer.
Eating rules for cancer patients is 高热量，高蛋白，高纤维，低脂肪。less
salt, suger and oil in her diet.
Late stage lung cancer is very bad. But just do not give up hope. I heard a
late stage liver cancer person still live 22 years after the disease. He
likes travelling. Three months every year, he will stay and live 农家乐life.

Late-stage cancer is not necessarily painful, as it depends on where the
disease spreads to. If drug treatments are needed, new synthetic opioids
like fentanyl are much more powerful.
Hard as it is, LZ's family may consider focussing on reducing the most
uncomfortable symptoms, as opposed to, e.g. invasive diagnostic procedures
and expensive drugs and nutritional supplementation. Also consider transfer
her to 临终关怀病房 if they can find a good one.

and give your mom some peaceful time before she says the final goodbye...
Pain specialty is a relatively new thing in China but some of them have
recently become available in Shanghai, Beijing area.
