about the pain Clapton felt following the death of his four-year-old son,
Conor, who fell from a window of the 53rd-floor New York apartment of his
mother's friend, on March 20, 1991. Clapton, who arrived at the apartment
shortly after the accident, was visibly distraught for months afterwards.
This song is one of Clapton's most successful, reaching #2 on the Billboard
Hot 100 singles chart in the U.S. The song also spent three weeks at #1 on
the American adult contemporary chart in 1992.
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
I'll find my way through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven
Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please, begging please
Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on

,而且歌曲本身并不咋地,同时代比它好听的歌多太多了。

musicians express their feelings and love through songs and music.
they are different from us.
I believe Eric Clapton does not need any benefits, he only wants to get his
son back to life.
benefit
