Every time I go to a new dentist, they always ask me to get a x-ray first.
This time I refused, and they refused to see me without x-ray. :(

I think the X-rays is to evaluate your overall teeth condition. It is kind
routine for a new patient unless you can provide old x-rays. Just like you
have to do a vital sign before you see your patient, no matter why the
patient comes for.
I saw a American Dentist who happpened to be my patient. He told me he is
not going to charge me even I insisted. He did X-rays for my teeth anyway
and I never get the bill. | S**********e
发帖数: 1325 | 3 I think x ray is actually needed for cleaning. Dentists offices are often
private, they don't share medical records unless you bring your old records
to the new dentist. They need an evaluation on your bones as well as your
overall cleaness. Not all the tartar and calculus can be seen easily by
visual exam and probing. The hidden ones will show in x ray films. The
dentists will see your x ray first to determine where the buildups are.
