(BSO) Why I enjoy as a faculty
1) with tenure, I never worry about losing the job;
2) as faculty, I can travel every place of the world for a conference (not
paid my own money). (simply just cancel the class for one week)
3) as faculty, I have 3 months of summer, and at least get partially paid
via grants.
4) as faculty, salary is reasonable good although it is not very high.
5) as faculty, I normally get up 10AM o r 11AM.
6) As faculty, I do not have a boss. I am the boss of many of my Ph.D./MS
students.
7) as faculty, I can go back China 3-4 times a year for conferences (not
paid my own money). My Delta skymiles can provide wife and kids free tickets
to China
once in two years.
8) as faculty, I can teach all the white/black American students knowledge,
and the teaching is like a show, to show up my knowledge, to show up my
capability, even as a Chinese. We Chinese can teach your Americans for sure. This makes me proud and feel usefull.
9) as faculty (just like a student), we still can find time to do some sports, watch college sports (as fans).
10) as faculty, I can live a life like a student.
11) As faculty, I feel yound since I alwayd stay with young people. For example. each time, I go to Gym, the boys and girls in the gym make me to feel that I am the same age and I am among one of them (of course, I am not young, but I feel that I am young).

发帖数: 2062 | 6 见过的发考题里边要么是工作勤奋、待遇非常好的，要么就是混日子然后终身后待遇和
刚进门的一样的，还真没见过每天工作4个小时然后在系里边待遇到前20％的，除了那
些功成名就的老教授，人家可也辛苦大半辈子了。
