endocrinologist's NP usually does most of the DM follow up, also some
thyroid patients. so you have to be qutie familiar with diabetes management,
eg. glucose interpretation, oral meds and insulin adjustment, insulin pump
adjustment, diabetic preventive health care, diet and education, etc.some
clinics also manage gestational diabetes too which can be tricky. I suggest
you go on ADA website to get their guidelines.
thyroid disease is pretty straight forward, just adjust levothyroxine base
on the labs. ATA website has guidelines for thyroid disease manamgent.
