Administration (FDA) is seeking a highly motivated recent engineering
graduate (MS or PhD preferred) for an 18-24 month appointment as a
laboratory researcher.The position will involve development and evaluation
of phantoms for assessing the performance of optical coherence tomography (
OCT) devices for ophthalmic and intravascular imaging.Phantoms are reliable
and well-characterized test objects for quantifying performance parameters (
e.g., spatial resolution) and/or mimicking biological tissue.This project is
being driven by the growing interest and need to standardize optical
diagnostic technologies like OCT as they rapidly translate from the research
lab to the clinic, to help address issues such as device validation,
quality control, and regulatory clearance.
The researcher hired for this position will build upon years of optical
imaging and phantom development experience in the Optical Diagnostics Lab.
The ideal candidate will have his or her own experience in optical phantoms,
along with experience in the following areas:polymer materials and
fabrication methods to produce precise films, slabs, and other geometries;
optical imaging and measurement instrumentation (e.g., OCT, microscopy,
spectrophotometry); data analysis and programming with MATLAB.
This position is open to those who have graduated within the past 5 years.
Extension of the appointment beyond 2 years is possible but not guaranteed.

他是挺牛的，就在我隔壁，不过他自己已经不管research了，但我很喜欢他治系的理念
，他建connection，拉funding的本事感觉很高明。
和他聊天那就难了，因为他实在是太忙了。几乎只能在重大活动的时候才能看到。

，看起来对年轻人挺nice的人，所以鼓励你去接触他。 不是所有的牛人都肯扶持后生
