这位教授是2011年被应聘为assistant professor in harvard。今年已经是第6年，仍
然是assistant professor。
我看了下他们学校的tenure handbook，上面说第4年是review for promotion to
associate。然后第5年是associate term begins。Harvard的associate professor是
没有tenure的，要在第7年被review for promotion to tenured professor，如果pass
了，第8年是final year of associate term or tenured professor.
那么这个教授为什么第6年还是AP。handbook上没写，如果没被promote to associate
，会怎么样。
我正考虑要不要去这个教授实验室工作（part-time research fellow，$30000 一年，
说根据以后的lab funding，我在实验室的表现，和我对实验技术的掌握会有成为full
time research fellow的机会）。
