M***8 发帖数: 61 | 1 For the past 1-2 weeks, I saw several posts on the BBS, about how the other
ethnic group get together, and how Chinese group not get together.
Today, I saw one of my associate have one FMG follow him around and doing
the OB, and I feel the urge to help CMG to move one step forward to get into
the system.
1. I am an IM attending /hospitalist, > 10 yrs
2. In Seattle/Tacoma area., in both big and small hospital, not really
affiliated with UW, not office or clinic
3. I could show you how this system works, especially inside the hospital
,
4. This may not improve your USMLE score, but will let you have some USCE
.
5. Likely would not make you getting into the local FP program, since
they rarely accept FMG.
6. You need to do some paper works with the hospital, I could help you,
but you will be the main person to do it.
7. time is flexible, and free, but I need some commitment, good working
attitude, cooperation. | o********r 发帖数: 193 | 2 Wow, I wish I lived that area. | S******9 发帖数: 2837 | | c*****8 发帖数: 112 | 4 I cannot believe my eyes! That is a very nice opportunity!
I'm not 100% sure of my time, but I'll be very interested to participate
once I make sure whether I'll be free next May.
I have finished my Step1 recently, and will apply for match 2 years later.
I'm leaving my contact info:
Email: z*******[email protected]
Please tell me if there is a way I can send you my CV. | r******y 发帖数: 146 | 5 There are always good people around! | M***8 发帖数: 61 | 6 Couple of points here,
1. we do not do any research here, and these are not "Niu" hospitals, I work
in very average hospitals, small and a bit bigger one. I could show you the
pure clinical side of the American medical system, how to deal with patient
/family, and how to work together with social worker, case manager, and RN,
etc.,
2. Why now? I did not want to do this before, because of afraid of paper
works; and also my selfishness, since the extra student/OB person will
significant slow down my working pace. but I started to do some job
shadowing for my friend's kid this summer, those are high school students
and want to go to medical school later, and the paper works was not too bad,
just take some time, and of course, the recent discussion at BBS, and some
other things, give me the courage to move forward.
3. I always feel that, we, as Chinese, emphasis too much at “Niu” things,
e.g., “Niu” school, “Niu” score, and “Niu” diagnosis, etc. we easily
missed other part of the story, most of us, even become a physician here,
are still an average “Joe”. You need to know and play the system, know how
to do team work with other persons. I may not remember the mechanism of
PCN, but maybe I could show you some other reality of the medical part.
4. Hopefully it will help somebody one day, and somebody will help other
person later one day. I am still appreciating the attending physician who
gave me the opportunity to have some USCE about 15 yrs ago, so that I could
step into the system.
thanks for those who sent me emails, I will give your my email address, and
we will figure out the paper works with the hospital. As I mentioned above
, today was the first time, I saw one Indian FMG followed one of my
associate to do the OB, and maybe I could also help some CMG. | m**********u 发帖数: 35 | 7 I am so happy to see this message. I lives in WA state, and I am looking for

attendings can do this.
I believe one thing: you are not what you said but what you did. | b*****g 发帖数: 53 | 11 Dear M1998, I am so excited to see your post here and really grateful for
your consideration of our CMGs. I am living in Seattle area and ECFMG
