她不喜欢做医生，就想找一个能用上医学知识的专业，毕业后找个工作就行，也无所谓
工资多少。
请问各位大侠，有这样的专业吗？不用拿MD的？ |

一的方法是考board.如果我不成功，那我就彻底忘掉这个dream.该干吗，干吗了。
如果年纪轻，英语够好，随便读一个和医学有关的master,出来在药厂找个project
lead 或者regulatory affair 这样的工作，也不是很难。可是这样的工作都不是很稳
定，你不知道10年以后你是否还能有工作。
学统计，流行病，现在master 很难找工作了，要不就狠下心来读个博士，不过，只是5
，6年以后就业行情很难说了。
学生物，药学等我也不说了，phd 以后是post doc.，然后再回来考board.进工业界可
能性不大，很多大公司把研发部门砍了，移到中国，印度，东欧去了。
国内的医学背景，如果不在这里当医生，基本上没有什么用，除非你是大牛，非常会来
事，那么做没做过医生也无所谓，我知道有人没有学过医，在公司当医学部的director
的。
如果只想找个工作过日子，那么去学computer，1，2年就出道，运气好进大公司，生活
也不错。 |

some optometry schools have the fast track for people with advanced degrees,
e.g. md or phd. normally optometry school is 4-year postgraduate, and the
fast track is 2-3 years i think. she needs to take OAT to apply. google it.

发帖数: 690 | 8 谢谢费时写了这么多。我感觉只要和医学沾边的工作都比较稳定，因为人总是要生病的
。我一直在药厂做统计，工作没什么技术含量，几年以后肯定很多统计的都outsource
了，现在我身边就有几个phd找不到工作。不敢让我亲戚去学统计。据我观察，
regulatory affair工作还不错，project lead一般的做不了，每次开会要夸夸其谈至
少一个小时，估计我亲戚英文不是几年就可以达到这个水平的。看网上有assistant之
类的，好象不用考board,一年三万左右，不知道这样的工作稳定性如何？
亲戚年纪倒小，二十出头，今年硕士毕业，可就是不愿意做医生，计算机也没兴趣，让
我出主意，我还真犯难

我不是学这个专业的，但是可以给三点建议：
1. 州内和州外学费，天壤之别。你人在国内，付州外学费，可不便宜。
2. 要问问学校是否给I-20.
3. 拿到I-20,你怎么去北京签证？你是中国的眼科医生，跑到美国学习optometry,
there is already a red flag. 然后你保证学完回国，这种故事可不好让人信服。
还是前人说的，嫁人搬运，先搞个州内学费的身份，才好弄。我是非常现实的讨论这个
问题。

and have your own practice; you can work with ophthalmologists if you like;
you can stay in academics if you teach / do research at an optometry school
and see patients part-time; you can of course work at places like Walmart.
but most importantly you have to be interested in the subject - the eyes and
visual functions. i'm not an optometrist :-) but i worked on research
projects with optometrists before and they seem pretty happy.
i don't know much about PA, so my opinion may be biased.

27 months for someone who has a doctoral degree. If she is in China, it
will be almost impossible to even get a interview.
This program is very hard. Extremely high demand in English, especial the
oral English skill and communication skill. The course work is very very
heavy, not any easier for even an native student for regular 4-year program,
let along for a foreigner to do it in a shortened program. I do not think
with her attitude described above, she'll be able to survive.

的愿意下苦功的太少了

确切的说是＂不愿意做（在中国当）医生，＂，你让她来美国看看医生是怎样的，去问
问小粉，每天都庆幸自己这辈子学了医。

发帖数: 8603 | 24 如果她不想吃苦，又想过好日子的话，身份是第一位的。嫁老外吧，先把公民拿到。或
者嫁485男也行，也能早点解决身份问题。然后申请联邦政府的工作，中国MD/MS就
qualified的。不是医生，但是也有和病人直接或间接打交道的，工资很好，entry
level 4-5万左右，senior有的差不多8-10万，比PCP也不差，而且有保障，但要公民才
行。世间的路万千条，就是没有一条是捷径。
