t*****s 发帖数: 139 | 1 Hey guys, if you think Kaplan Step 1 video/audio lectures are useful for
your USMLE prep, please VOTE here for your favorite Kaplan Step 1 lecturers.
This is my 2cents (1=best; 2=very good; 3=good; 4=just ok):
1. Dr. Sam Turco (Biochemistry, metabolism part). He was so good, in my
opinion, that I ended up remembering most of the metabolic pathways and key
enzymes just by listening to his talk. If you think you can do Biochemistry
yourself, think it again. He made it much easier for you. I truly enjoyed.
1. Dr. David Seiden (Gross Anatomy and embryology). I wish he could have
done neuroanatomy too, which was not the case. He explained every concept
crystal clear. I liked his review method of embryology first followed by
related adult anatomy for each organ system, instead of talking about either
topic alone which would probably make you feel boring. Do you feel sleepy
when you keep only reading the anatomy lecture note? Try to listen to his
lecture. Just try it!
2. Dr. Lionel Raymon (Pharmacology and Biochemistry chapter 8-11). He is a
very nice French guy. Explained the mechanisms of drug actions and side
effects really well. Made a lot of Links with biochemistry, physiology and
pathology. He loves to draw and write on the screen to clarify some
difficult concepts and mechanisms.
2. Dr. Wazir Kudrath (Physiology section 4-7). Very good explanation on some
hard to understand physiology graphs.
2. Steven Daugherty (Behavioral Sciences). Though Behavioral Sciences is
traditionally the least important topic for step 1, this guy actually did a
pretty neat job.
3. Dr. Kim Moscatello (Immunology and Microbiology). Use mainly for learning
how to precisely pronounce the name of the microbes.
4. Rest of the lecturers fall into this category. | J****G 发帖数: 293 | | c******s 发帖数: 5583 | 3 kaplan sux. yes, i said it. |
