not get offer this year, but he still can enter program and work one year,
then he has to apply next year match. The benefit is it should be much
easier. The second guy also told me he got pre-match. When I asked him if he
had to apply next year, he waved his head quickly, said” no, no, no. I
already get offer, why you think I have to apply again?” I immediately

The first one may have received the prematch offer for a preliminary
position which is only for PGY-1. Therefore, he needs to apply the next year
for the rest of his residency training.
The second guy should have received a prematch offer for a categorical
