If I stay at home, my wife can only find a research assistant position (she did that previously) to support the whole family.
Congratulations for your prematch. I read your post 2 years ago when I started to prepare step 1, but have to given up right before the exam for some reasons. Now I want to pick it up again.

I feel no passion at all after being tortured by the current boss, although I
have more than 10 publications. The only reason to keep going is for my
family.

I'll suggest you to use this job-hunting opportunity to find a nice boss to
get future rewards such as OB and strong LOR. However, you definitely need

I checked the potential jobs, most of them just need a bachelor or master,
or need a license for any clinical related works.
I did do my best in the research and that's why I was productive to have
over 10 publications. Now I got the green card, but lost several years of my
life.

in the same department and find out who is hiring. Then email your CV to the
MD who is PI directly. They usually appreciate and love your medical
background. If he or she wants to hire you, you will have the job.

You will not get a good LOR. And you are miserable. What is the point?

始要有个适应过程，挺牵涉精力的。把对老板的愤恨转化成你学习的动力，好早日离开

发帖数: 174 | 13 其实以前上班累点我还能看书，并不怕累。目前是老板的精神折磨，每天都要絮叨一些
污辱人的话，就是要看我敢怒不敢言。我又不是很看得开得人，经常很郁闷，没法集中
精力，晚上睡觉都睡不好。（当然过去两年之所以放下考试，是因为一个很特殊的原因
。）
倒是认识几位临床医生，他们说我文章多，即使老板不出推荐信，也能证明我
productive。吸取楼上几位建议，我现在周围找找MD的实验室，再看看一些临床相关的
assistant的工作，part time也行。

research assistant at low pay, but I will try that.

闷却没法在老板的折磨中转化成动力，惭愧。我想现在周围找找，不至于大动干戈。

but I realized myself never give up the mind to be a doctor again. I believe
I will make it finally.

research scientist) 也可以去试试的。公司Pay的比医药的高些 |

You could just convert to technician title in a lab. Better pay than postdocs and no need to work over time.
You have a lot of opportunities with green card. Or you let your wife work and you focus on your exams.
I can see why you bear the sufferings for your green card. Now you are just a masochist if you still work for your sadist boss.

没有人提出关于辞职的问题. 如果上班太分心, 又没有把握找到轻松的工作, 辞职也

发帖数: 174 | 22 以前在国内急诊多次被不理解的病人家属辱骂，甚至威胁，我都会耐心解释，也理解他们；还曾因为遇到特殊情况的大抢救，连续50多个小时不合眼，不过我觉得那是我的职业和事业，回想起来只有自豪，没有劳累。
相反，做科研发了10多篇文章，但是实验室留给我的只有苦涩...

，老人过来帮忙带孩子，甚至做好没工作花国内积蓄的准备。
