Physician Pay Cut Goes Live April 1
Congress has failed to enact a short-term fix to the Medicare Sustainable
Growth Rate (SGR) formula that governs physician payment before the Senate
adjourned for its spring recess. This means that the 21.3% physician pay cut
will take effect on April 1. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
(CMS) has issued a statement asking contractors to hold April 1-14 Medicare
