The guy first said he was a Ph.D in Internal Medicine, so my boss decided to
accept him. But then he said there was a mistake in his CV. He is a M.D in
Internal Medicine, not a Ph.D. My boss was confused, so he asked me what's
the
difference between M.D and Ph.D in China.
My boss is in Chemical and Biological engineering.
Is there anybody who knows the difference? Please tell me. Thanks a lot! |

PhD to work as posdoc not that with Chinese Bachelar of Medicine due to

5 years - 本科: Bachelor degree, equivalent to U.S. M.D. degree;
6 or 7 years - 本、硕: Bachelor/Master degree, equivalent to U.S. M.D./
Master degree;
8 years - 本、博: Bachelor/Ph.D. degree, equivalent to U.S. M.D./Ph.D.
degree.
However, some people may work as a postdoc in a lab with the Chinese bachelor degree in medicine. |
