annual budget for NIH is 20 billion while 2 billion for DARPA. But DARPA did a far more better job than NIH. DARPA initiated projects like: Internet, GPS, microelectronics, stealthy plane, saturn V rocket... which all made their names in history. NIH

good as many private cancer foundations
