The California Solar Homes bill (SB 1652, authored by State Senator
Kevin Murray (Los Angeles) and sponsored by Environment California)
would require that solar photovoltaic (PV) systems be included as a
standard feature on a minimum percentage of new homes built beginning
January 1, 2006.
The California Solar Homes bill would require that the solar systems be
at least 2-kilowatts in size to meet around half of a home's energy
needs. The requirement would only apply to a percentage of |
